  • Cross-check against the approved headcount plan.

  • Finance Business Partner to confirm the role exists in Anaplan with:

    • Salary

    • Bonus/commission

    • ATR number

    • PLE Code

What is an ATR and PLE Code?

What is an Authority to Recruit (ATR)?

An Approval to Recruit (ATR) is a document which needs to be completed, prior to the initiation of any hiring. An ATR outlines all details for the position you wish to hire, including

  • ATR number

  • Organisation chart

  • Budget

  • Hiring Manager

  • Job description

  • Justification for the hiring

In order to track our approvals in line with our budgeting and headcount costs, all ATR’s must include an ATR number. An ATR number can be found or created within Anaplan (Planning and analysis platform).

What is a Posting Level Entity (PLE) Lookup

  • Each Subsidiary has their own group of PLE codes to select from such as Sales, Marketing, HR etc. More can be found here

  1. Compensation & Benchmarking

Contact the Reward team (Guy Smith and Nathan Dinsley) to benchmark:

  • Market rate

  • Internal parity

  • Level/title alignment

  • Confirm approved salary range upfront

You will need to share the job description, salary range, bonus%/commission (if applicable) and the locations you would like to hire.

Note: If you increase the salary by more than 10%, this will require additional Hiring Board approval. For repurposed roles, if there is a significant impact on strategy delivery or a fundamental change to ways of working with the functions/segments, this will also require Hiring Board approval.

  1. Create the role on Pinpoint

  • Go to Pinpoint.

  • From the left navigation menu select JOBS.

  • Select New Requisition.

  • Select the Requisition Type ‘New job’.

  • Select the Requisition Template ‘Role submission’.

  • Complete the details and select Request Approval button at the bottom of the form.

Note: For new roles (new headcount) not approved as part of investment case or RF process, the role will be submitted for the Hiring Board approval which happens weekly on a Tuesday at 1pm UK time. All new roles submissions must be made by 12pm UK time on the Friday before for it to be reviewed the following week.
