Private Medical Insurance

Private Health Insurance policy with Allianz

Romania colleagues are automatically enrolled for the Private Health Insurance with Allianz. The start date is 12 of each month and Digital Science will pay for your membership. The membership fee is reflected in the monthly payroll and follows the regulations in tax in Romania.

All eligible colleagues will receive a welcome email from Allianz, which will include your membership number and invite you to log in on Allianz app where all of your details, cover and policy information is housed.

Meal Tickets

Granted for every worked day during one month.

In order to benefit of this amount, you will receive an UP Dejun virtual card upon your onboarding in DS. Holiday, public holidays or sick leave days will not be counted for the calculation of the paid amount.

Effective March 2025, the value of a meal ticket is 40 RON/day. The total value of the meal tickets for the calendar month is uploaded on the UP Dejun card in the last week of each calendar month for the current month.

Wellbeing

500 RON net monthly allowance for wellness activities, private pension contribution or any other service available with the Up benefits provider. This is automatically loaded to the UP Multibeneficii platform at the beginning of each month. Amounts can be carried over from one month to another and the expiry date of the funds is 31 December of each calendar year.

200 EURO reimbursement for new glasses every two years. All employees can reimburse the cost for new glasses by claiming an expense in Concur. It is mandatory to have an invoice on your name when claiming the expense, as per the country accountancy regulations.
